March Petcare: $ 22 billion 2024 revenue.
The second closest pet manufacturer was Hill's pet industry with 2024 annual revenue of $ 4.4 billion.

Why is it that Purina and Mars earned 5 times revenue in 2024 than their closest competitor Hill?
This may be because they sell more individual pet brands/products than all other competitors.
From the Purina website, the company sells more than 900 different pet products.
Hill's Pet Food on the other hand is a much smaller manufacturer, (according to petfood industry.com) selling “More than 300 different pet products“.
Purina owns 23 different pet manufacturing plants in the United States. By comparison, Hills own four different pet food production plants in the United States.
Both companies sell FEED pet food.
The good news is that two pet manufacturers for pet animals manufactured petfood industry.com's best 45 income list; Honest kitchen pet food and just food forgogs. (Let's hope we see more manufacturers of human qualities included for 2025.)
