FDA pronounced: “Follow -up of a case of H5N1 Very pathogenic of the flu in a cat, testing performed by US Food and Drug Administration, state and local public health and agricultural partners, and federal partners suggest a link between the trunk of H5N1 -Virus that discovers in Cat and in some masses of rawr rawr Falling Falling Falling Falling Falling. Will update this message if new information would be available.
FDA used the language ”propose” -“Suggests a link between the trunk of H5N1 virus discovered in the cat and in some lots of raw cat -food …“Why did the agency use this language? To say” suggests that a link “seems to say that we do not have absolute evidence. Why doesn't the agency have absolute evidence?
The FDA does not reveal where the sick cat is located and when this happened. A clue that we must place is the FDA's mention of ”San Francisco Department of Public Health“. We searched the USDA Avian Influenza database and found information about a cat diagnosed in California, San Francisco County, on 13/13/25.
With no details from the FDA, we assume that the 7/13/25 event is the sick Cat FDA that links to Rawr Cat Food. StångaHis funds FDA waited more than seven weeks to perform testing and notify the public.
Why did the FDA choose not to reveal to the public this incident occurred more than seven weeks ago? Why did it take more than seven weeks to notify the public to a potential (“suggests a link”) H5N1 link to a pet food? If the FDA was worried about pet health, why wasn't the same “suggesting a link” message sent out weeks ago?
Was this cat's disease linked to the pet food? We don't know. However, we believe that the USDA database would show more sick cats around the same time frame in mid-July if it was pet food … but again it is just a guess.
Tracked the FDA source to “suggest a link” poultry to a supplier? Was testing at supplier level (which is usually done in other surveys)? We don't know, the FDA did not reveal this information. How can this virus be prevented if it is not traced all the way back to the supplier and the supplier is held as responsible as the pet manufacturer? It can't.
In January 2025, the FDA issued a message that warned pet manufacturers that they will need “Think of H5N1 in food safety plans.” But so far (eight months later), the FDA has not provided pet manufacturers with any directives on how to prevent H5N1 in raw materials, and the agency has not provided the manufacturers a laboratory to test pet foods or raw materials for the virus. The FDA itself has banned laboratories from insulation testing of aviate influenza viruses of pet food for manufacturers and the public.
One thing is certain … The latest message is a confirmation that the FDA center for veterinary medicine is far from being prepared for a potential bird flu outbreak. Much about.
