Kelly Bone is a pet owner who lost his dog to a counterfeit pet food; Hill's science diet, forged with excess vitamin D. not long after Kelly's Dog Duncan died, announced Hill a massive pet recall. A warning letter from the FDA to Hills pet food confirmed that the manufacturer did not follow its own security measures.
Kelly started a Facebook group at that time in the hope of alerting other pet owners about concerns about some pet foods. Her group grew to 160,000+ followers in just a few years.
