Last year, Rei did something different on Black Friday. They closed their stores and spent the day outside and encouraged their customers to do the same. For anyone who loves outdoors, it was not a difficult choice to #optoutside. Wouldn't we all prefer camping, hiking, skiing, fishing, cycling, running, kayaking or climbing to standing in line? And the fact that this movement was initiated by a leading retailer in the outdoor industry was inspiring to say to say the least.
This year, Rei will again close its doors on Black Friday, and Happy Dog is also happy to #optoutside. As a small company, we have always closed our office at Thanksgiving and Black Friday to be with our families and friends (both two legs and four-bones), so it is a natural fit for the lucky dog team to join the #Optoutside movement this year. Our goal of mentioning this is to inspire you and your dog friends to join us!
It's simple, really. #Optoutside reflects Happy Dog's vision, assignments, corporate culture and values. At Happy Dog we believe that a happy dog is a dog outside. We find joy in sharing outdoor adventures with our dog mates and sharing these adventures with our society. We are driven by the idea that every dog is an explorer, and through our products and brand we try to improve and inspire exploration for outdoor adventures and their human companions. Of course we want #optoutside on Black Friday!
This year, our office will be closed, as always. We will not send an e -mail message to you. We will not send you a campaign. We don't ask you to trade our site. We will spend the day out with our families, friends and dogs.
