National Love Your Pet Day occurs every year at February 20. It's like Valentine's Day for your pets!
There is also a national pet day that occurs every year on April 11.
The story of national loves your pet day
Pets have been around for millennia. What began as faithful wolves and cats that households themselves has now bloomed in a beautiful, loving relationship between animals and their people. Although they do not always work as hunters or watchdogs, our pets still play an important role in our lives – they provide love and friendship as members of our families!
Although we do not really know when the February 20 version of the holiday was developed, we know how April's National Pet Day became. 2006, pet lovers Colleen Paige Launched an initiative to celebrate pets in our lives and everything they do for us. Her vacation was quickly captured among animal rescue advocates, and the holiday is currently used to celebrate and advocate for animal rescue groups with our furry friends.
How to celebrate Nationally love your pet day
So, how can we celebrate National Love Your Pet Day with our puppies? Here are three amazing ideas for observing the holiday:
Volunteer in a shelter
One of the core aspects of National Love Your Pet Day (And National Pet Day) supports adoption and animal rescue. Voluntary work on local animal welfare and donation time, toys, food and other goodies is a great way to spend national love your pet day to help other animals that need a home.
