The story of National Mutt Day
Originally founded by Colleen PaigeNational Mutt Day was not made with a specific dog in mind. Instead, Paige wanted to create a day devoted to spreading awareness of dogs with mixed breed and how many of those remain in shelters. The holiday continues to raise money for animal rescue services and shelters where mixed dogs are often abandoned.
